Will there be a triple crown winner this year?

Absolutely Not.

The last horse to win the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978. In the history of triple crown racing only 11 horses have accomplished the feat. To win the triple crown a horse must win the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. This is a grueling task for a developing three year old equine. After the surprise win at Kentucky Derby, we will have to wait another year.

Chris Woods Jockey, an Australian horse racing jockey and quarter horse champion is getting into the web game, starting his own website. The former jockey is posting info about horse racing, links to horse racing sites that he has scoured the web for, and other info about his furniture business, Carducci Interiors.

As a jockey, Chris Woods was best known as a quarter horse champion in Australia. He has raced around the world, but is definitely best known in Australia. Currently, he travels the world for his uber-luxurious Carducci Furniture line, Carducci Interiors. His experience with that venture has led to him starting his sports related website: www.chris-woods-jockey.com

For the average fan, there are a few things people should know about quarter horses versus thoroughbreds: Quarter horses are generally faster than Thoroughbreds, but run shorter distances. Chris Woods, as a jockey raced quarter horses primarily in Australia.

On his website, Chris is working to disseminate data on all forms of horse racing, and provides some links to videos that he has accumulated of some his favorite races. The website provides a very strong section on the history of horse racing, jockey info, and other information on Chris Woods.

Chris Woods, Jockey, is probably the most recognized man on a horse anywhere in the world. Hailing from Australia, Chris (born Christopher J. Woods), can be considered the world's perfect jockey.
